Glenny Velez is an accounting professional with extensive experience in contract management, accounting, and financial reporting working in both corporate and nonprofit organizations. She has spent the larger part of her career with community-based organizations committed to serving the children and working families of the Northwest Bronx and Northern Manhattan, providing quality and affordable childcare services, stable transitional housing to homeless women and their young children, as well as supportive services to victims of intimate partner violence survivors (IPV). She has a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix, and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Fordham University.
Glenny is very passionate about the fundamental role nonprofit organizations have in providing the services, resources, and guidance needed to create more equitable and empowered communities.
